This is our favourite Chinese restaurant in Port Macquarie. We discovered this Gem a few years ago. I love that their lunch menu has so many options. We dined in for dinner this time and ordered 2 entrees and 3 meals for 2 adults and 1 child. My family loved the spring rolls and satay dishes. We got the satay chicken, satay beef and honey chicken. The satay chicken was my favourite and the serving size was generous. Next time I would ask for no celery. We also recommend the honey chicken.

Love going here. Lovely accommodating people (especially for large groups), good, generous food, cheap wine. Classic Aussie Chinese placce and probably the best in town.

Generous portions and nice and saucy. I asked for a small amount of salt and they were happy to oblige. Very satisfied. If you’re looking for a no frills dining experience in a quite beautiful setting where I guarantee you won’t leave the table feeling hungry this is it!

Travelling through Port Macquarie. Found this absolute gem for a bite for lunch. Staff very friendly and place super clean. Price so reasonable - $14 luncheon special. We had chicken and cashews and mongolian beef both served with fried rice. Large servings and very delicious. Most impressed.

"The Wait Was Worth It – A Tale of Love, Duck, and Destiny" I came for a quick takeaway. I stayed for a novella. Told 20 minutes on the phone. Waited over 50. Even the delivery drivers were tapping out like, “Yeah nah, someone else’ll grab this one.” Meanwhile, I was busy crafting a whole backstory for the lone warrior running the place — an older Aussie bloke shuffling between tables and the kitchen like a man on a mission. I swear he was the waiter, the chef, the dishwasher, and possibly the reincarnation of Confucius. The restaurant was only a third full, but the vibe? Full chaos. Apologies were flying like spring rolls at a buffet. Clearly, the man needed a waitstaff. Or a clone. But then… the food arrived. And suddenly, I understood. You see, this wasn’t just a Chinese restaurant. This was the final chapter in a love story that began on the Yangtze River. Picture it: a retired Aussie gent on a Chinese junk, stopping in a riverside village. He orders duck. It’s crispy. It’s plump. It’s divine. He meets the chef. She proposes. He says yes. She moves to Australia. They open a restaurant. Boom. Now he’s doing it all — cooking, serving, storytelling — while she probably whispers sage advice from the kitchen or the couch. And the duck? Still lucky. Still legendary. So yes, the wait was long. But so is the journey from the Yangtze to your takeaway box. And trust me — it’s worth every minute. P.S. I don’t know the owner. If I did, this would be a 6-star review.

I can’t even begin to describe how magical 27 Palace is. It’s hidden in the corner of cole’s like a special hidden gem or a secret forest. The staff are the kindest people you will ever meet; they always are checking on my Mum and I to make sure we have the best experience possible. This is our go to spot. No Chinese food restaurant in port macquarie can compare to the beautiful magical of 27 Palace. I am so grateful for your restaurant

Called in for lunch a ladies lunch 15/4/25 It was busy. We shared Satay chicken, Mongolian Lamb & Fried Rice. Our meals were very flavourful. Service a little slow to take orders (due to all the tables being occupied) but our meals came out quite quickly. The location a little odd given it’s in the Cole’s complex but the quality of the food makes up for that. Sorry no photos, I forgot.
